As we approach peak season for static discharge (ESD), this is the time of year that the leaves change. The summer heat has dissipated and gives us cool nights, and this particular time gets very spooky. Things scurry about and go unnoticed in the night. Little scratches and scrapes of wind, usually dismissed, put us a bit more on edge. Moreover, just when our nerves reach a fevered pitch, the doorbell rings… “Happy Halloween”.
Automation and ease of use have become the next lowest hanging fruit in the realm of global commerce. Speed and inventory management are now the new differentiators between the winners and losers. To that end, Corrosion Intercept Translucent will make the difference for many competitors worldwide. Those providing customers with the materials (or goods) necessary first -- are winners. The competition has become so fierce that delivery times under 1 day are not uncommon in some consumer markets.
I recently came across an article at the Wall Street Daily. The article claimed that Russia was proposing to build a superhighway. A superhighway -- that would, in effect, connect Moscow to New York and London (and everywhere in between).
I sometimes wonder what might have been the plight of Apollo 1 in 1967, if Intercept protection had been a reality. Jan 27, 2016 marked the 49th anniversary of the fire that killed the 3 astronauts of what would have become Apollo 1. The fire shocked a nation, put NASA on notice, and became the worst disaster for the US Space program. That is, until Jan 28, 1986 when the Challenger exploded just 73 seconds into its flight.
Freight shipping and movie reviews don't always go hand and hand. We try to keep movie reviews down to a minimum. However, every so often one strikes us as needing exloration and commentary. A recent viewing of the Coast Guard rescue mission as detailed in “Finest Hours” rose to this level. The level to which to the cinematography was able to capture the temper of the sea, was brilliant. Said temperament, indeed, is a reality that those involved in freight shipping know -- all too well.
