Most people can't see by any stretch of the imagination how copper particles are akin to rhino milk. However, we assure you that there are similar characteristics betwixt the two. Did you know that rhino milk is pink? It is almost the same as regular milk besides the color and it is also high in calories. The calorie count being about 500 per cup as compared to cow milk. Cow milk popular with humans offers the approximate following calorie counts per cup; whole = 150, 2% fat = 125, and 1% fat = 100. That makes sense as a baby rhino would need more calories than a baby cow.

Although innovative technology has been present since ancient times, our focus for this post is on World War 1 Technology. The Atlantic Magazine just posted a page of pictures of World War 1 Technology, find it here. Many of these pictures show old designs that paved the way for the future. For example, the first picture (in the article link), called an "acoustic locator" -- was a predecessor to sonar.

Before we delve into the birth of Static Intercept-2, let's pick up on the winners for the 2014 Apple Design Awards announced last week. Past winners of the awards include Where’s My Water, Guitar Hero, AOL Radio, and a World of Warcraft release. Each of these won for a different reason. This is due to Apple’s criteria stating that winning designers “combined design and technology in creative, compelling, and powerful ways.”

There is a lot to say about being recyclable. There is a lot to say about the Amazon River; its history, discovery, myths, scale, and on and on, but when I was there I saw two things; its raw beauty and its potential. The raw beauty speaks for itself; none of my pictures capture it quite like the one below, taken at sunset, but the potential deserves a bit more of an explanation.
