APPEARANCE

Transparent with a Copper / Bronze Tint -- although selected style and thickness offer slight differences in shading and feel -- it is a translucent polyethylene or polypropylene material (see image for likeness).

The material is engineered with highly reactive copper particles embedded in a polymer matrix, which neutralizes corrosive gases that come into contact with the film. This unique composition provides a reliable barrier against tarnishing and corrosion for various metals, including silver, brass, copper, and ferrous metals. The protective capabilities typically last between 1 to 2 years, depending on the material style, gauge, and environmental exposure.

Corrosion Intercept® Transparent is available in various forms, including bags, rolls, sheets, and films. It features a built-in saturation indicator that signals when it’s time for replacement—when the copper color begins to change to gray or black. This ensures that users can maintain optimal protection for their valuable items.
